Native tissue vaginal prolapse repair with midurethral sling results in clinically and statistically significant improvements in sexual function (PISQ-12) and decreased dyspareunia rates (25% to 16%) at 24 months, with 27% of previously sexually inactive women resuming activity and decreased rates of sexual inactivity due to prolapse bulge (34% to 21%) and incontinence (18% to 12%).
