Weight loss of 5% to less than 10% was associated with significant reductions in stress urinary incontinence episode frequency at 6, 12, and 18 months, but the odds of achieving a 70% reduction in stress UI were not consistently significant — the 6-month result was not significant (OR 1.9, 95% CI 0.8-4.4), and findings were weaker than for total or urge UI because the reference group also showed large absolute improvements in stress episodes.
