Infants napping 5 or more times per day at 1 month of age had 89% lower odds of experiencing rapid weight gain by 6 months compared to infants napping less than 5 times per day (OR = 0.11, 95% CI: 0.02, 0.63, P = .013), after adjusting for birth weight z-score, breastfeeding duration, intervention group, maternal education, prenatal BMI, parity, and gestational weight gain.
