CABG benefit over DES-PCI in angina relief was greatest among patients with daily or weekly angina at baseline (mean adjusted difference 1.8 points at 1 year), intermediate for monthly angina (1.3 points), and absent for patients without angina at baseline (-0.9 points, numerically favoring DES-PCI). This treatment-by-baseline-angina interaction was statistically significant.
